In a well designed entertainment area you should be able to enjoy all-year-round-braaing. Now is the time to think carefully... Charcoal or Gas? Maybe a combination of both. There are numerous metal constructions which can be built into an entertainment area. You can make fires in certain models, whilst others have automatic charcoal makers. These types are trouble free and if you stick to the instructions you will have no smoke indoors. If you prefer a gas braai, you can get along with a smaller area than a charcoal braai due to the fact that you can control the continuous heat.

When looking for a braai, you have to consider the following issues:

· What size of braai do you need?
· Is the braai manufactured with a durable material?
· Is it easy to clean? - Like Stainless Steel
· What about flare-ups or the control of excess fat dripping onto the fire?
· Are accessories such as spits, baskets, warming or baking ovens available and/or included in the braai?
· Is there a guarantee on the product?
· What about service and spare parts availability?
· If the braai is built into an enclosed area, it is advisable to fit a suitable canopy with an extractor fan and filters.
